[freaky animal moment | tired]

Things I hate at the moment:

  1. McDonald’s attempts to make everything more Asian angled whether or not there is actually anything Asian about it. Why did they have to, HAVE TO, make the commercial of two males speaking out of sync in an obviously over played and old stereotype? Why did they name their salad the Asian salad? Is salad an ethnic thing? Big deal, you put in Mandarin oranges and edamame. You know most of those so called Mandarin oranges were probably harvested in Alabama and are now as Asian as the fortune cookies (which for those of you that don’t already know were invented in San Francisco). My experience as an Asian is that most “Asian” salads that I’ve had involve something wriggly like noodles, something deep fried tossed into the mix, and/or an overwhelming dressing. So here we are at a crux: McDonald’s is allowing this shitty effort to become more Asia-fied and I haven’t got the ability to crush their company with my hatred.

  1. I’ve read the Da Vinci Code and accepted that it was mediocre. I read Demons and Angels and found it much more interesting. I finished listening to Digital Fortress and wanted to make Dan Brown give back his readers some of the intelligence that he obviously thought they lacked. Here you have a book (spoilers) that deals with the NSA or the National Security Agency and the particular part of the NSA he talks about in the Cryptography dept. Basically, a group of mathematicians because they deal with discovering complex patterns using arithmetic. Now, Mr. Dan must underestimate women because the female lead he has in this particular novel always seems to be 5 steps behind every other man in the story and she only survives by (a) luck and (b) men who lust after her. The most interesting parts are about the male counterpart who’s running around Spain trying to find a ring and escaping one of the most capable deformed/differently-abled assassins there is. He’s of course is an athletic, handsome and brilliant professor of language and manages to kill yet another handicapped/social outcast villain like the albino. Actually, in this book he has 2, count them 2, physically deformed villains. In the beginning, the female is talking to her Chief who’s trying to explain to her the situation, which I got but apparently she need spelled out to her and by the end of the story, there’s a hugeeeeee portion time to deactivate the computer worm but they spend it thinking: what does he mean by “prime difference”? Which after hearing it about 15 times you get that it means a 2 numbers subtracted to make a prime number as the key. So here you have dozens of NSA people and a Harvard professor thinking, “What could this be?” And if you’re listening to it like I was, it’s not so easy skip ahead to when they figure it out and you’re ready to scream at your speakers. I felt like I could be a commander of NSA after that. I just hope that our NSA is much more capable than the sacks of crap that Mr. Dan invented for us. Don’t read it. You’ll just wonder why the NSA is stupider than a teen detective in a novel series.

[freaky animal moment | busy]
I got annoyed. I guess a few months too late, but they re-aired it, so now I'm getting pissed because I've just found out about it.

Hi Kevin, (Of the Kevin & Bean Show on KROQ)

I could never call in to KROQ for what's your deal because I'm either on my way to work or at work when you do it, but I still wanted to say what my deal is. What was with that Oprah special special the other night? It's ridiculous that she's trying to make everyone all mushy by inviting her wealthy celebrity friends to her big fucking million dollar shindig and expressing her thanks with intensely expensive gifts. Giant diamonds that could choke a medium sized woodland creature. And here are these millionaires crying over these expensive gifts! This is supposed to make me touched? Yeah, we all like you, that's why you're famous. Thanks for rubbing it in our faces that you're better than us. You all can rot in the hell of obscurity and see what it's like to be the rest of us. Poor you, you act and make people all fuzzy inside so that makes you so deserving. God, I want to punch them. You too, Maya Angelou.

I write to you from the great beyond to show you a pair of underwear you just should never buy from a certain unnamed (though not unlinked) large retailer of women's underwear.

I know I'm not the only one that think that this is a chick with a ****.

[freaky animal moment | chipper]

Wow, long time no update…hmmm…how shall I say it? Life is what it is. Working at Borders has had its benefits. Mostly it’s the discount. Sometimes the old men flirt and you flirt back. It’s good business. The upside is always the rare occasion that a guy your age flirts with you or there’s a hot guy that is shopping around. The downside is most of the rest. I’m not so sure about liking my coworkers either for the most part. Not that I’ll probably get to the point of actually disliking them, but all in all, distance is good.

I guess the boyfriend and I are doing well enough now, but I’m headed to grad school in September no matter how you look at it. Yeah, I’m going to spend about $20,000 just to make my father happy. Most of it is going to be his money though. Meanwhile, so this is what a relationship is like? I had no idea.

Probably what I have had the most fun with so far is Hunter and all the new electronic goodies that I have. Hunter is insanity itself. I’m still teaching him to “high five”, “low five”, and walk on his hind legs. I’m sure I’m on the road to making my dog human or as much as possible.

New electronic fun? 20” Viewsonic flat panel television HD ready with progressive scan, Philips DVD player with divX playing capability, both hooked up using component cables for the highest quality of viewing pleasure (for all my anime and jdrama needs). My new computer tower that kicks so much Sims 2 ass, it’s simsational! Might I add that I have Sims 2 plus all the expansions? I *heart* my ATI Radeon. Plus Steve’s 22” old Dell monitor. Next to it, my 15” old flat panel looks like it’s baby brother. I have a new keyboard that’s ultra slim and is equipped with USB ports on either side. I bought it for the USB ports because then I could get a small laptop mouse which never have cables that extend far enough for desktops. The mouse I found is the IO Gear Laser Mouse and is ultra sensitive. GEHHHH I love all this. There’s also the new MP3 player that should be arriving today! My little sugar cube Mobiblu! 2 Gigs just released last month and tomorrow…all mine. Mine! Bwahahahahahahaha! Boyfriend, puppy, toys! If only work wasn’t so blasé.

I’m such a consumer it’s rather disgusting. But hey, I’m happy!

[freaky animal moment | busy]

So uhhhh what’s going on? Life’s being a big jumble. Anyway, people can catch me at Borders now Wed, Thurs, and Fri. I think I’m going to turn down the uni of kent as far as grad school and yes I was accepted there. I despise qwerty and I think a dvorak keyboard would be a good investment for me.

Anyway, I’m whatevahs and everyone is like you know.
